Multi-Grab mode allows you to select multiple parts and/or effects in rectangles and move them as a group (can be moved in normal mode too). The / buttons toggle between normal making, Multi-Grab, and Copy mode. If not using a Joy-Con in horizontal grip, pressing while not in a menu will cause all the menus to become hidden.Īlong with the menu controls, the buttons allow you to have more options. When the player dies (both players in Co-op Making), you will simply be sent back to the editor. If the player starts from its location and there is no solid ground within two vertical screens below a player (including as Terrain, Bill Blasters, Seesaws or ON/OFF Switches among other Gizmos), then a platform made of three Start Blocks will appear. All of the menus will disappear, and the normal music will play instead of the editor music. Then, the player will start at the start of the course. The player will start from its location in the course, unless the button or the clapboard is held down. When the button or the clapboard is pressed, the course will go into a test mode. Your Player will also appear here, and can be moved around the course area using / 15px in touch mode, and by grabbing the player in button mode. After a Course part is placed, you can tap and hold the Course Part to add modifiers and change its form. The player will also be teleported to it. Holding both sticks in the same direction will also make the cursor move faster. If is held, if the player, a Course Part, or a Sound Effect isn't being dragged, the cursor will start moving fast. In button mode, the cursor can be moved with / 15px. In the middle is where you place Course Parts and Sound Effects.

It also allows you to change the size of a Course Area, and see where Checkpoint Flags are placed. This lets you flip between Course Areas, change if the Sub Area is horizontal or vertical, and move quickly around inside a Course Area. The Reset Rocket returns a level back to a state as if it had been loaded fresh from an empty Coursebot file. The Eraser allows a player to erase course parts. Coursebot's icon allows options to Save, Load, and Upload a level. However, animations caused by these, such as jumping with the Super Star in certain styles or sitting in the Koopa Troopa Car, will still be shown. Interestingly, it will not show if you were wearing a Buzzy or Spiny Shell, if you were riding a Vehicle, or if you were under the effects of the Super Star. It will also show you what power-up state you were in and whether you were riding a Ride.

This option can be especially useful for platform placement. Mario's Trail is an option that allows you to see the last few moments while Play-Testing. Mario has access to all of the side menus while Luigi has a special menu where they can choose, depending on what Mario has selected, different Course Parts or Sound Effects. In this mode, sideways Joy-Con are required. This is also where you can enable Co-op Making and see Mario's Trail.Ĭo-op making is an option that allows two players to Make and Play-Test a Course, Play-Testing involving both players, one as Mario, the other as Luigi. Here you can adjust the Game Style, Course Theme, Liquid Level, Autoscroll, Timer, and Clear Condition.

Individual Parts and Sound Effects can be pinned to the tool bar by holding in button mode and tapping and holding the Course Part in cursor mode for 0.5 seconds, which will make them unable to be removed unless unpinned in the same way as pinning. The last 12 Course Parts and Sound effects are stored in the top tool bar. Here, you can select Part and Sound Effects, which can be swapped with a push of the upper-leftmost button.
